FLEDA began as most organizations do with a desire to solve problems. Our founders brought together representatives of small businesses, farmers and ranchers, church leaders, elected government officials at the village level, the county, the state and federal with our areas largest federal agency to work out a way to prosper together. That tradition continues today.

Our partnership has grown to include the Frontier Local School District. Our annual scholarships and Student of the Year Awards are highlights of the Association’s efforts to promote our future in our most talented youth. Our upcoming expansion looks to promote the careers of our very talented trade oriented students as the broadest base for growing the local business economy.

Situated in the Wayne National Forest, our locale is well suited to outdoor enthusiasts: hiking, biking, hunting and fishing on public and private lands. The expansive Horse Trails at Kinderhook are a focus for us that spreads great enthusiasm for our hardwood forest.
